Not to be confused with the Minutemen on the Arizona border, scientists at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics at Oak Ridge Observatory in Tennessee have designed a new optical telescope to scan the galaxy for alien messages. While previous Seti (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) projects have searched for radio signals, this is the first optical Seti telescope, meaning it will search for messages made out of light. These things take patience. We've been building mashed potato sculptures and leaving Reese's Pieces out for years. So far... nothing. Good luck, fellow ambassadors.
