Faces of hope on spaces of poverty

Some fantastic public art with a purpose from the favelas of Brazil (and the slums of Africa). An artist (or, it's unclear, perhaps a collective) named JR has been
pursuing the creation of a series of portraits of women in poverty, which are then recreated on the sides of the very buildings themselves.
 


The pictures are gorgeous, featuring women from numerous locations, and have also made it up as billboards in Brussels
