Back during the depression F.D.R. created jobs to put people back to work and renew the country. Would it not be possible now in this stagnant economy to put people to work; you know making a paycheck to support themselves and their family’s.
Its worked in construction to throw more manpower and at the same time ideas to fix the problems.
Why does it have to be just college graduates doing the work.
I have been an industrial electrician for 20 years and find myself out of work.
Electricians have to solve problems everyday on jobsites, so why not while trying to save the planet.

It seems Gaia has a way of concentrating the trash accumulated by one of her sub-species. She may find an intelligent way of disposing of it – or disposing of all of us allegedly homo sapiens.sf@miracleread.com

I have a feeling there are no cmments yet becuse we’re stunned at the atrocity we’ve created. Well, I’ll bet we can create something to fix it, too. What about a filter inserted in the middle of the gyre to catch the tiny floaters. It probably wouldn’t be 100% effective, but we’ve got to try.
