Gecko Robots

As scientists engineer new robots, they’re keeping an eye on the design solutions nature has already discovered. You don’t want to reinvent the wheel (or, in this case, the gecko).

Boston Dynamics also came up with this dog robot that’s so naturalistic you feel a visceral sympathy when the engineers kick it, as they do, to demonstrate its great balance.
