SQUID VID!

  • Posted by: Patrick James
  • on February 14, 2007 at 8:10 pm

For ages, rumors of the existence of Giant Squid have haunted many a sea-faring man. Today, we have evidence that lends credibility to the words of crusty old salts far and wide.

Japanese scientists have released footage of a very large, very fast, very aggressive squid here, here, and (this is the best one) here.

Awesome.

[Correction: The squid in the video is 2.3 meters long. A photo of an actual giant squid, 8 meters long, may be found here.]
