GOOD Books: Get Healthy5/52/5
1 / 5

This month’s 30 Days of GOOD challenge is to "Get Healthy," and with week three wrapping up, we figured we’d provide a bit of literary inspiration to help you power through the last 10 days.

The "Get Healthy" mantra for October may seem out of place—a month into fall, it’s unlikely that most of you are rushing to get into a bathing suit. But remember, the holidays will be starting soon, complete with piles of comforting food, epically caloric drinks, and late nights spent catching up with family and old friends. The month spent fortifying your body and mind will come in handy.

The four categories of health we’re explored this month are about eating, moving, relaxing, and detoxing. The books this week fit each category in a unique way. The Man Who Ate Everything is not a story of healthy eats, but it is the tale of man with a boundless appetite whose life is enriched through love of food. The pages of Out of Their League tell the story of a professional football player for whom the game isn’t contained to just 100 yards. Each book showcases the author's true passion for something, and the trials that result from that passion makes the stories all the more enticing.
