Tomorrow night at the GOOD Space, Project H Design is throwing an event to showcase its design collaboration with the Downtown Women's Center. Project H Design founder Emily Pilloton is a GOOD contributor and she's prolific in the design-meets-social-change space.Abject Object, an initiative by Project H's Los Angeles chapter, will debut its final prototypes of four textile-based garments and accessories. These projects-a hood bag, sandal rug, hammock wrap, and pocket scarf (on Flickr here)-explore how design and craft-based manufacturing can lead to creative self-sufficiency and enterprise for the homeless.
