You probably heard Obama spoke in Berlin? 200,000 people turned up to gush over how swell he is.
Serbian president Radovan Karadzic, indicted for his war crimes in the “ethnic cleansing,” was has finally been arrested and will be tried by the International Criminal Court. We’re now holding our breath to see what will happen to Sudan’s Omar Al-Bashir.
An obscure terrorist group killed approximately 45 people in explosions in India, right after they sent out a mass email titled “Await 5 minutes for the revenge of Gujarat.” Apparently there’s some backstory there.
It’s been a heavy weekend. Shall we end with some light-hearted good news about cute baby animals? Twin pandas were born at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre in China. See strange photo above. Well, they will be cute… At some point…
