Next Generation Healthcare has an interesting graphic showing how many deaths there are from road traffic accidents in different parts of the world. The takeaway: Cars are dangerous, especially in developing counties. You can see the full version here.

I'm confused about a few things though. First, on that big map, what's the time period we're looking at? And second, it looks like Africa and the Americas both had exactly 234,768 car-related fatalities. Is that an error or a crazy coincidence?
