This gorgeous (and interactive!) chart offers a variety of visual chronologies of the changing American job landscape from 1850 to present day. Looking at this time frame gives you a bold, colorful picture of how U.S. occupations changed during the meat (and the end) of the industrial revolution. The reductive takeaway: fewer farmers.
