Digg is a site that allows user to rate stories (called giving them a "digg"). Stories with the most diggs rise to the top of the site. The users of digg seem to be mostly tech oriented, and the stories with the most diggs are often complicated treatises on programming. The blog Musings Of An Eco-Entrepeneur has discovered thatTreehugger has started "a green digg" called hugg. It's in beta, and few people are "hugging" interesting stories. But once it's up and running, it will be a nice way to quickly find the most interesting stories of the Treehugger mindset.
