I Want You To Want Me

  • Posted by: Andrew Price

Jonathan Harris, whose “Whale Hunt” project we covered here, created “I Want You To Want Me,” another of his inventive, data-driven art pieces, for the MOMA’s recent Design and the Elastic Mind exhibit.

In this latest work, Harris culls text from myriad dating websites to present a panoramic view of the human quest for love online.

We especially like the looks of the “openers” movement. There’s something tender—and more than a little melancholy—about that initial, anonymous attempt at alleviating loneliness.
