In his recent interview with GOOD, Ray Kurzweil predicts that full-immersion virtual reality will soon let us travel without moving. The iCube, by a company called EON Reality, is about as close as we've come so far. Even though the tester in this video knows he's in a 10-foot cube, it's clear his motor control faculties are convinced otherwise.

Too bad we don't get to see this from the perspective of the guy wearing the goggles.
