In the run up to tomorrow night's State of the Union address, the Obama veneer appears to be losing its luster.
Combined with last night's announcement of a three-year freeze in non-security discretionary spending (translation: Defense spending is safe; national park, education, and farm subsides, not so much) and his use of a teleprompter in a sixth grade classroom, Jon Stewart could not help but have a little fun at the president's expense.
Stewart: You set up the presidential podium and a teleprompter in a sixth grade classroom? I'm not a political adviser, campaign strategist, etc., but that's not a great photo op in a middle school classroom, just like if you delivered an Oval Office speech from your nap mat.

There are presidential addresses and then there's speaking to a room full of middle schoolers. I can't help but think that this would never have happened during the campaign, when David Plouffe was running the show. Are you hopeful that his return may help resurrect Obama's image-or, at the very least, improve method of his delivery.
