The folks at Freedom Blog crunch the numbers on junk mail and come up with some disturbing revelations. For one, each year, about 17 million trees (almost 25 million acres) are cut down to provide America with the junk mail it so craves. And then, how does it get to you? Thank junk mail weighs 14 billion pounds; to move that much weight uses almost half a million tons of carbon every year.
