Mapping Kenya's Unrest

Ushahidi.com is mapping incidents of violence in Kenya in real time, checking the reports they get through the web against reports from NGOs to create a reliable, evolving, grim picture of the situation.

It makes us sad: take latent ethnic divisions, add public distrust of political institutions and a close election and you have hundreds dead and 250,000 displaced. Peace is precarious.
