Greetings from sunny Denver! We’re just getting our bearings at the Democratic National Convention, but we plan to be filing erudite and entertaining updates throughout the course of the week. We’ve set up mobile HQ at the hospitable Matter studio (they’re responsible for the excellent image that accompanies this post), and are poised to make our mark on this fine city. Stay tuned…

Since Obama did not choose Hiliary for a running mate, he has left me no choice but to switch to a republican ticket.

    Shame, Shame

    What a loser.

If you have to get all spiteful and petty about it, why not at least consider voting for one of the many 3rd party candidates whose platforms resemble those of Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama? Why do you have “no choice but to switch to a republican ticket”? False dichotomies might pump lifeblood of political coverage, but believe it or not, we actually have a lot of choice here—it’s just that exercising that choice requires a modicum of intelligence (and at least some desire to use reasoned judgment). Did you care about any of Clinton’s policy/platform, or did you just like the idea of a female president? Obama was charged with the task of selecting the man or woman he regarded as best equipped to do the job, not the man or woman who finished the primaries in second place. He had a choice, TJ, just like you do.
