Monday Morning Choose GOOD Update

  • Posted by:

Fun fact: Cinco de Mayo traditionally celebrates the victory of Mexican forces over French expeditionary forces in 1862. Funner fact: we threw a great party last Friday. Special thanks to the Border Film Project and Equator Books for helping to create a memorable night. Here are your facts:

Number of subscribers: 858

Number of days to reach our goal at current pace: 3030 (8.3 years)

Number of bouncers (who are we?!): 3

Number of people in the Mariachi band: 7

How badly we want a Mariachi band in the office: really bad

Ratio of money made in bar tips to cash subscriptions: 1.3 to 1

Leaders: Millennium Promise (94), Teach for America (98)

Stragglers: Creative Commons (32), City Year (32)

Notes:

* There was a brief period earlier in the week where four causes – Millennium Promise, TFA, WWF and Donors Choose – were within 5 subscriptions of one another. That time has passed, the throne is untouched.

* Audrey danced a lot at the party, despite doctors orders not to.
