Money Man

Barack Obama’s campaign raked in $32 million in the month of January, nearly double the previous highest one-month total by a candidate in this election. Accruing funds from 170,000 unique donors, Obama’s reach-for-your-checkbook charms are being called “astonishing,” “extraordinary,” and, better yet, his “secret weapon.” The steady stream of cash sets Obama apart from the likes of struggling Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, whose notorious Web posse pooled cash amounting to $4.2 million in a single 24-hour period (in honor of Guy Fawkes Day) back in November. Guess slow and steady at least keeps you in the race.
