My thoughts on the matter

  • Posted by: brotherfuture

Staying in it to win it, is the real test. Presently in

Philadelphia gun violence is at an all time high. The

education system is a joke!!! With this knowledge

economy that we are in, education is a life long learning

event, unfortunaltey many youths don’t see it like that,

and for those who see the pattern and play the game,

with all the education and money gained, they don’t

care either. So to the aim of waking people up, these

are some things that I’d like to share and bring to the

attention of whomever, in the hopes that they may be in

a position to implement some of my hard thought ideas

on how to make impact, with results in today’s world.

1. Don’t confuse motivation with progress

2. Treat Human Beings good!!!

3. Conversation is information

4. Looking the part and virtue isn’t enough, must be

patient, it all comes down to changing lives

(others and yours also).

These things come by way of my observation. I was in

Japan for 4yrs, and as an African American I discovered

that many in the world don’t consider me an African

American but an American. In this discovery I saw

deeper into our American situation, observing how we

look to the world at large. Very scary picture. I’m a

Christian, but I think that the Christian right is the worst

thing happening to this country!!! All in all I see the

ever growing movement of Globalization as a mental

event, that is why I am expressing my hard thought

ideas, because if we as human beings are to survive,

we must learn how to appreciate, cultivate, and

cooperate.

    Thinking About People

IDEO, widely regarded as the best design firm in the world, is precisely that because of one simple truth: they understand people. IDEO approaches its projects first and foremost from the perspective of the person on the other end of everything that they create. They think about people, from start to finish, and build each and everything they do as layers on top of that understanding--driven by what they've learned about the people that they'll have an impact on. IDEO CEO Tim Brown and founder David Kelley refer to this process as 'design thinking' (you can see Tim's recent TED talk here), which builds a central element of human understanding into every step of the process that's designed to create something that will improve the life of the person on the other end of that creation.
