Finally, the FDA has approved a vaccine for HPV (though it's clearly now being marketed as a vaccine for cervical cancer. Gotta love that transitive property). The best part of this piece is the conservative groups who opposed any way to make sex more risk-free backpedaling to support a vaccine that prevents cancer. "We believe that adults must be provided with sufficient information to make an informed, free choice whether to vaccinate either themselves or their children for HPV." Can you imagine what you must be thinking to make the informed choice to not to prevent your daughter from getting cervical cancer?
