Not Just An Every Day Movie

  • Posted by: Lydus

I just finished watching Hard Candy, a movie that came out in 2005 in the US. It’s a fascinating movie about a 14 year old girl that has a date with a 30 something year old guy, which she met through the internet. Her goal is not love or sex, but to confront the guy with the fact that he is a pedophile.

So, the story is not just an everyday Hollywood thing, and the same can be said for the way it all has been filmed. There is not one moment where you can see that is just a 1 million dollar movie, and shot in 18 days. Every shot is beautiful, very thought through, and the colors are extremely rich – esecially the red does nicely.

A fantastic and scary piece of art.
