We've been trying to avoid Senator George Allen and his
big, racist mouth. But now, there's a new wrinkle: in a debate, the a reporter asked the senator a totally ridiculous and inappropriate question about his possible Jewish heritage (watch the video
here). Allen rightly chastised the reporter for implying that any one religion might be more fit to govern (though, for the record, we're pretty sure George Allen would not be that keen on people of other religions governing, but who knows, maybe he's visiting Lieberman for Rosh Hashanah dinner). But then, as the chastising continued, Allen accused the reporter of "casting aspersions" on him. Because she said he might be Jewish. A fate worse than death. Check out Slate for a full
