Last Friday Obama visited House Republicans at their two-day retreat in Maryland for a rare unscripted question and answer session-and it was televised live.
This video is and hour and a half long but it's worth watching in its entirely. That said, if you want to skip the preamble and get straight to the Q&A, start at 0:30. If you just have 10 minutes, watch the last question, which starts at 1:14. It exemplifies the theme of the whole event: Obama wants less political posturing.

To be fair, it wasn't a true debate. Once Obama started in on an answer there wasn't much room for any follow-ups. But I, for one, would love to see more extemporaneous argument from our lawmakers like this. Unfortunately, it'll probably get less attention in the media than Alito's "Not true."
