Apparently, the White House is also developing a new Office of Social Innovation. Prophesized here, speculated about here, this initiative shows up in the last chapter of Obama's budget as a Social Innovation Fund "charged with testing promising new approaches to major challenges, leveraging private and foundation capital to meet these needs, and scaling up research proven programs."
