There is a very interesting article up on Treehugger about whether it is cheaper to live sustainable or to add offset costs to the price of goods. The example given in recycled paper. It costs almost twice as much to print on recycled paper, but it’s much cheaper to pay for planting the trees it took to make the non-recycled book. It’s a interesting take.
