Wal-Mart has announced that they'll be drastically expanding their organic offerings. Organic products will only cost 10% more than their non-organic, disgusting, agri-business counterparts. Anyone who has been to Whole Foods recently knows that their organic food is far more than 10% more expensive than the food you could get in your local supermarket. Wal-Mart's decision will clearly have lasting ramifications for organic farms and other organic stores. What will these effects be? The NYT digs in.
