Passports: Who Has The Most

Many Americans traveled abroad this holiday season, availing themselves of their United States passport to gain entry into foreign countries. GOOD took a look at where in the U.S. the most passports were issued last year, and how the number of citizens applying for passports has changed over the last 25 years.

    What would be most interesting is to have the passport “installed base”: how many Americans have a passport? I’ve often been told it’s less than 15%, which says a lot on this nation’s “insularity”.
