I came across etling.com through GOOD magazine's website and
loved the photos, his "style" (for lack of better photography lingo?)
is very interesting; and some of the photos are just fun to look at; like the
birds on the tree trunks, super fun.  I have recently (very recently)
taken up photography as my new hobby. I don't have a camera, but I do have a
camera-phone and I am snapping away. I share some of them through facebook's
mobile uploads. I don't know (maybe you do) if there is much of a story or
place/medium for folks like me to share this type of photography; but with 2.4
cell phone users around the world and cameras on these phones almost being
standard, there has to be something...right?

In addition, one of GOOD's articles, "Communication Breakdown"
suggests that more and more people around the globe including isolated areas in
developing countries are taking advantage of this ubiquitous gadget and its
services. Wouldn't it be interesting, fun and amazing to see a photo snapped by
some otherwise unseen/unheard of family in some otherwise unseen/unheard of
place in the world? Their way of life told by them! I think that would be
absolutely amazing!
