Yesterday, the first game of the baseball season was played, with a full slate of games set for today. It's a wonderful day. But something is missing: President Bush became just the third president to miss throwing out the first pitch on opening day two years in a row. The other two: the stroke victim Woodrow Wilson and the embattled Richard Nixon. Great company to keep.
