Projecting (Literally) the Flood Lines as Glaciers Melt

A public art/advocacy/awareness project underway in Bristol, England, aims to show residents the level to which water could rise should the ice caps continue to melt. Similar to New York's High Water Line project, in which artist Eve S. Mosher painted the city's new coastline with a stripe of blue chalk, Watermarks uses projectors (or plans to use; these images are just renderings at this point) to cast predicted flood levels on buildings around Bristol. The goal of the project is to help residents appreciate the potential severity of climate change. It also happens to look really cool.
