Reality TV has writers. Who knew? How could you write something that's real? So confusing. Those writers, they're going on strike. Apparently, writing scripts that are actually reality isn't in the same league as regular TV and movie writers, so reality TV writers don't get things like benefits. It's fair because, really, they're not benefitting anyone else.

And, useless factoid: this article claims that reality TV was born in the aftermath of the television writer's strike of 1988. Because if you can't get anyone to write for TV, why not just film reality. But then, reality gets boring, and you have to get people to write for reality.
