Just read those great ideas on how to reuse bath water. Here's another idea. I have been recycling rain water for several months now. I read on the internet that you could purchase a rain collector for around $265 per barrel. Didn't like the $$$ part so I went to a local car wash and bought 2 30 gallon empty soap containers that they were going to through away. Cost was $12.00. Went to Lowe's and bought the connectors and a faucet for under $10.00. The tanks are linked together at the bottom and are filled by a connection between one downspout using a flexible gutter extension. I am fairly handy, so putting things together was quite easy. I  have had no trouble getting plenty of water to recycle. The first 60 gallons was collected in about 20 minutes of a good heavy Florida rain. I acquired 18, one gallon milk containers that my friends were just going to through away. I attached the faucet and a garden hose at the bottom of the tank. What do I use the water for? #1. To water our plants when needed. #2. In the toilet tank, Just shut off the valve and fill the tank. # 3. The wash the car and the Driveway when needed. Let's give Mother Nature a hand. Thanks you all.
