As a notion we do not seem to see the need to use the arts to heal hearts as well as making it a teaching tool. Everyone can relate and respond to some form of art be it film, poetry, music and all other creative expressions. I am a spoken word artist and when I perform folks respond. Some laugh some cry and to others it may be the only art they see in months. The good, bad and folks in between love to get outside of themselves.
