This may be a good idea. I believe the fee is far too low to be effective. Yet, it might just work, and go forward without legal challange due to the low cost. It is important that our government recognize our industries are still polluting our planet. The laws enacted many years ago seem to be ineffective.
The main point of emissions controls and carbon taxing is to contain
the flagrant dumping of pollutants upon the Earth. If nothing is done
to reduce the amount of contaminants, there might not be a sustainable Earth to live in.
Aside from the atmosphere being poisoned, Americans should also
pay attention to the continued trash dumping in our oceans, and
on our lands. There must be another way to eliminate our waste, regardless of its source.
