In honor of the plethora of religious holidays coming up in the next few days: a series of maps showing the prevalence of religious affiliations in the United States, by county. The map above shows where religious people are concentrated. Other maps feature Jews, Muslims, Catholics, various branches of Protestantism, and other interesting combinations of religious statistics and cartography. The fascinating picture of America that these maps paint makes it totally worth it to take a few minutes and seriously peruse them.
