Sounds GOOD: "The Dark Knight Rises" Composer Releases Aurora Benefit Track

All proceeds earned by Hans Zimmer's breathtaking new composition will be donated to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund.

Sounds GOOD highlights new music that can be purchased to support worthy causes.

Hans Zimmer, the legendary composer behind the music of The Dark Knight Rises, has released a new charity recording to benefit the victims of the Aurora shooting tragedy. Simply titled "Aurora," the track was announced on Zimmer's Facebook page late last week:

"Aurora" is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. I recorded this song in London in the days following the tragedy as a heartfelt tribute to the victims and their families.

The track is available on iTunes for $1.29. Listeners in the United States can also get the track on MoonToast by making a donation—tiers range from $0.10 to $2500. All proceeds will be donated to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund.
