This is so fun to watch unfold, we feel it deserves its own post. First, some of the pro-immigration protestors began singing the National Anthem in Spanish. This made some people quite upset. The President said he thought the anthem should only be sung in English. But wait! The government once commissioned a Spanish version of the Star Spangled Banner. But that was in 1919, maybe things have changed? Nope. It just gets better and better. Four versions of Spanish anthems are featured on the State Department website! And Bush sang a Spanish version during the campaign! And Jon Secada performed a Spanish version at the inauguration! Oops. It's so frustrating when facts disagree with the way you want the world to work.
