Test-driving the Nano, the Car That Might Destroy the World

The Guardian's south Asia correspondent got a chance to try the Nano, the supposedly clean, green minicar that retails for the equivalent of $1,979 U.S. The 5'10" test-driver says he feels comfortable in the thing, and is most impressed with its speed. The biggest difference, he says, is the pared-down dash.He calls it "nippy" a few times, and describes it as "jellybeaned," closing off by saying "I'd buy one. At this price, you'd be crazy not to." Which is exactly what people are worried about. Watch the video, which we can't embed, here.
