The Guardian has a very attractive interactive infographic that compares the carbon emissions of countries around the globe and shows how they've changed since 1996.Europe's carbon emissions only grew by 5% between 1996-2006. In Asia (read: China) the rate was a whopping 64%.
It'd be nice to see emissions per capita or emissions relative to a country's HDI, but the piece is enormously valuable as is.
