Concerning the island- It’s kind of obnoxious for people in the UN to assume they have the right to decide if you can claim what you have found, isn’t it? I suppose it’s better than being taken over by the next largest country, but it’s certainly not optimal. I’m quite sick of hearing of the bullying of micro nations by larger, more established countries and the UN. It’s better than being forcibly overtaken by the next largest country, which would happen in any other recent era, but it’s still not optimal.

One ought not to think one is more important than one is, you know?

Funny thing, to ‘recognize’ a country. Kind of like currency value. It’s only worth what we recognize it as worth.

We all pretend, but recognition (in that semantic sense) is quite worthless. We forget that all too often.
