Boy Crisis!

Apparently there’s a “boy crisis” in education. Boys, the idea goes, are falling behind girls in school. Their verbal skills lag, teachers don’t tailor lessons to their unique, male brains, and, consequently, they’re graduating at lower rates. Gosh, we’ll end up like bee society with female workers and queens and a bunch of uneducated male drones!

Or will we? As this Washington Post piece points out, economic and racial differences are way more important than gender differences in determining who gets a fair shot at a good education. Let’s just all keep that in mind.
