The First YouTube Candidate

  • Posted by: Andrew Price
  • on June 2, 2008 at 6:02 pm

Steve Novick, the former Senate candidate from Oregon, built his campaign around a no-nonsense, populist platform and refreshingly ridiculous web ads. He didn’t win the Democratic Senate nomination, but his mastery of netroots media shook things up. The New York Times assesses the implications of his YouTube success for other long-shot campaigns.

We wrote about Novick in Issue 008 and mentioned his ads when they first came out in this post.

Thanks Dan!
