Not sure how many of you sat through all four hours of speeches last night, but we did! And it wasn't long before a very clear theme emerged: The dems are gunning it for the female vote. Much has been said about women and Latinos being the new swing voters, with Hillary off the ticket and all, but that's always struck us as pundit filler, trotted out on slow news days. And yet last night no fewer than four key speeches highlighted the party's pledge to women, from equal pay to preserving Roe v. Wade. Even Biden himself said his crowning achievement was passing the Violence Against Women Act. While it felt at times a little disingenuous, we'll take it. Politics is, after all, the name of the game.
