American Express just launched a cool initiative that harnesses the power of the internet (and their Cardmember base) to do some good - membersproject.com. Cardmembers are empowered to submit, and ultimately unite behind, a "project idea" that American Express will fund with up to $5 million - $1 per registered user. I encourage any Amex Cardmembers out there to register on the site, submit ideas and spread the world. It's a simple (and free) way to make a big difference.
