Having spent at least a collegiate semester or two in Western Civ, we like to think that we know a bit about revisionist history. However, no amount of aggrandizement or glossing over that we’ve encountered compares with the disparity between the myth and the reality of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il’s birth. It’s a disparity that belies language. So we’ve done our best to represent it visually.

We hope you enjoy this first video addition to our GOOD GUIDE: to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea. Stay tuned, there are many more on the way.
