The Back And Forth Is Killing Us

A few days ago we told you that the hole in the ozone should start shrinking soon, just from the work we're already doing. But now we're hearing that global warming estimates are 78% too low! (Via MetaFilter) Which one is it? Can someone please make up their minds. And now there is human-to-human bird flu? We'll be under our desks.

UPDATE: From helpful commenter Ben: "Common confusion--the ozone hole situation is totally unrelated to global warming. The threat of the "hole" was that too much UV sunlight was passing through unfettered, and roasting people. Like physically roasting people--causing all sorts of weird skin diseases and such, not the least of which is skin cancer. A much different torching than the slow roast the planet has in front of it."

We knew that. We were just testing everyone.
