The morning-after pill, a cause of constant consternation at the FDA and in the Senate, will finally be made available over the counter (at least for women over 18). This is after years of feet-dragging at the FDA and lots of pressure from women's groups. Senator Clinton, who is spearheading the movement to make this actually happen, points out that the FDA made this exact announcement last year, and has since done nothing about it. The FDA claims that no, this time, they're serious.
