Theocracy?

Without passing any judgment, there are some facts you can't argue with. One of these is that the number of regular church goers who self-identify as Republicans has sky-rocketed in recent years, especially among Evangelical Protestant denominations. In no way is this a problem in and of itself; most African-Americans self-identify as Democrats, and no one has a problem with that. But we live in a country founded on both Judeo-Christian principles and the ideal of separation of church and state. How this conflict is reconciled is becoming more and more important.
