We're mired in the dog days of August, where news goes to sleep because all the people who make news are rich and on vacation. But we've done our best:

First of all, it's Snakes On A Plane weekend (!).
Second, if you have a more skewed view of pop culture, you it's time to apply to fill Al Gore's shoes.
Elsewhere, some very brilliant scientists cured AIDS in South Africa. It's weird that the Gates Foundation hasn't discovered the garlic and lemon cure. And in other modern medical miracle news, breast implants save a woman from a bomb.
The solar system expanded. Is nothing sacred?
According to this study of the bible, not much is. Unless you already knew God's biblical body count was so high.
